The first is a published book on Alzheimer's in a journal style photography and short stories. It can be purchased on this website for $12.00 as a physical book. Link here.
"Its Like Like" is a pull out book based on similar image in the hidden part, with some surprises. There is only one.
"9AM 9PM" is a collection of drawings done at those times and oddly bound. I had pre-made the shaped pages and engineered the pencil and the way to hold it together yet undo it twice a day on a planned road trip. Each day I did the same drawing and each day they looked different. At the end of the trip, it was similarly bound and looks more like an object than a book. There is only one.
A book of seed portraits. Many pages of colored pencil drawings of a seed pod. I had a bag of them, but they all looked a bit different, so I made their individual portraits. There is only one and its in a collection.
'A book on how to make coffee' in the primitive cabin at Kupa. It starts with going under the cabin to turn on a propane tank. It could take 30 minutes to make a cup. So different than the city. There is only one and someone else owns this cabin now.
The Rabbit wood block print is from my first book, made in high school- a children's book on animals. Only one.
The very sculptural book called "Look" was done in collaboration with Judith Christensen about building or remodeling a home. A viewer can look inside.
The red book is titled "Private perceptions pertaining to the properties particular to Public Art". It is my Masters Thesis. It can be purchased on this site (using the Donate link here for $10.00) or read at the Geisel Library at the University of California, San Diego.

"Glass Brace" is a wood tension framework that holds in place a piece of cast glass.
"Wall Gourd" has a pine needle basket structure that holds the gourd to the wall.
"The Collection" is held in cherry wood case. Plaster copies of a stone along with its mold are dignified by black velvet. Slides in the key chain show the rocks outside of their box in various places.

Two images of "The Lucky Whisker" a reliquary for a cat whisker where one carries it around the room in a clockwise direction to realize their lucky life.
"Recording Wire" has a thin wire attached to a cast aluminum mass. The movement from here to there is documented in kinks of normal life recorded to the wire.
"Holding Rod" has a velvet donut the holds a brass octagonal rod on a welded steel form, elevated and upright.

Sink design of 'Building 9', here is the sink (reclaimed), stone faucet handles, perforated metal light. All copper pipe is wall mounted, and thus visable.

The swollen hand had been in an accident. Metal pins held the bones. I attached a small sculpture to the pins. Painful.
The Gang of Five do the zebra walk in Louisville KY for an exhibit. Caroline Farris, Laura Warriner, Nina Karavasiles, Ying-Kit Chan, David Hailey. The group formed in Norman Oklahoma. Link to see more.
In Rancho Mirage CA is a hiking path that leads to a shade building with a great view. I found this metal pole that once held something, but had gone missing. I made a glued glass piece that I lightly attached to the pole. A temporary gorilla art piece.

The Chair Show, The Edge in Warner Springs 2012
I have a thing for chairs. I have so many that, out of embarrassment, I curated an exhibit of chairs. While I had many in this show, I also invited fellow artists and friends to exhibit their most interesting sculptures that you can sit on. It was great fun. I wrote a small book about it. The first two images are of an oddly shaped bra that I made. There were pieces of metal forming a different kind of female breast. Not so very noticeable, but if you were looking..
Personally my nails are short, but I started noticing all the women with long nails. How hard it would be to work with them on.
I decided to make hand sculptures in honor of it all.
