Eye Chanting

Eye Chanting

Eye Chanting is about calming the mind.
It's about the space between your hectic day and your meditation practice.
Following these designed patterns over and over allows you to settle and calm your way into your own form of meditation practice.
I developed these varied, sort of art pieces, because I wanted a way to chant that was visual.

Take a class in the Eye Chanting technique.

Taught in Warner Springs and Huntington Beach California. Half hour long. $7.00

Please contact me directly to take a class.

Purchasing an Eye Chanting piece for your own home is also an option.

Picture
This is a wall mounted fibers Eye Chanting piece.
It is made from two of my grandmother's scarves and a white piece of felt. That white felt has more wool roving that is attached by a felting process which uses a special barbed needle that intertwines the slender fibers making it one.

I start at the black dot. One deep breath. Then I jump to the orange and in one long breath ends at the other black area. I do that a number of times. Because of how the wool is wavery, I can also slowly follow the edges on both sides of the line. I then settle my eyes on the gauzy red and when the wind blows I notice and it makes me smile.

The top left is a photograph of road foam. I move my eyes from dot to dot.
Top right is made of wood and the line is removed allowing light to be the thing you use.

Middle row is fabric and felt much like the top piece. It has a dowel for hanging.
'Grip' is small metal which can go on a desk or in hand. Eye goes back and forth.

Double Bulb can do a breath around the entire piece, or a breath in each of the segments
Bottom right is paint on muslin fabric with blue visual anchors. I start in the areas of the painted line that is faded (silver paint is actually over the blue line). I follow the entire design and then pop out and take a natural breath.

Double Bulb is made with cut pipe that is welded together in a different way. I cut it with a plasma cutter with a giggle hand to create all those places for your eyes to travel.

These pieces along with altars, down in price to magnets, well they all vary from $7.00 (magnet) on up. Please contact me for pricing and shipping.
