Maquette for Taylor Yard Los Angeles

This Maquette describes one portion of the proposal for the rail road maintenance yard in LA. It was a long skinny strip of land, two feet by a quarter mile. The art piece pays homage to the Asian population who built the train track. It is comprised of nine (the lucky number nine) bright red (the lucky color red) planters containing bamboo plants. In the 40 mile per hour area the nine bright things formed a cohesive, luck inducing experience. This piece was ultimately not chosen.
