"Up/Down"

A piece done specifically for the home of Susan Smith and Sheldon Nodelman, both art historians. I made a life cast of their wall. The section of wall was removed and replaced with a bronze replica of that same section. The location is in an archway where people often hang around during a party. This human buffing gives a nice patina. Professor Nodelman writes about living with this piece in the book "Private perceptions pertaining to the properties particular to Public Art".
