"VEVE Mentorship Project"

VEVE Mentorship Project I was a mentor for Elain Ng through the Visual Environments for Visual Education( a youth education probram). During the summer of 2000 we worked on an aluminum casting project. We started with Styrofoam and brought the chosen pieces to National City Foundry in San Diego. After they cast the work for us, we went back to the studio and added elements to the casting; a silver faced watch, a small man, and some lava rocks glued to chain which surrounded the piece. The piece was auctioned to gather funds for next years mentorship program. Carole Carden was the high bidder.
