Nothing in the desert. This stone oblique is where the Yuha Desert and the Anza-Borrego Desert intersect, on highway S2 Imperial County. I have placed a new plaque were there was a vacant space. The original plaque had been stolen long ago. This art piece has since been sited in the book Anza Borrego A to Z by Diana Lindsay (Sunbelt Press 619-258-4911). The San Diego Association of Geologists commemorated this piece during their 2006 field trip. www.sandiegogeologists.org. View map. It is made from plaster with a rubbed graphite surface. I choose plaster so that it would be undesirable to steal. The following haiku poem was recently sent to me. It is just plaster by David Bloom
